Young Greens Subcommittees

Want to be further involved in the Young Greens?

Want to help the EC campaign on a national and international level, run events and social media or represent us in the press?

Subcommittee members work with a member of the executive committee to make an impact on a binational level. As a subcommittee member you need to commit to a online meetings and completing action points in between the meetings. Joining a subcommittee is a great way to offer your support whilst also enhancing your skills and experience. The time commitment varies depending on how much you choose take on, but we expect you to be an active member until November 2017.

We have a number of subcommittees opportunities for you to join. To be considered, we ask that you engage in the application processes listed below to show us that you are suitable by talking about your experiences that prove your skills and abilities as outlined in the job descriptions and terms of reference for each subcommittee.

Events Subcommittee

A subcommittee to assist with events to support our key campaigns and a hand in helping to organise our Young Greens National Convention! The ideal member: 

  • Has experience in event organisation and delivery.
  • Can commit to meeting fortnightly, keeping up to date with email and chat discussions and making regular contributions to the work of the team.
  • Is enthusiastic, motivated, committed and creative!
  • Has lots of ideas about Young Greens Convention and how we can build on previous years to make it the best yet!

Freedom of Movement Subcommittee

Calling all great campaigners! Join our subcommittee to develop our campaign on freedom of movement and the benefits of migration. The ideal member has:

  • A passion for the rights of migrants and the freedom of movement
  • Knowledge of migration in the world today
  • Some experience in campaigning

Elections Subcommittee

A subcommittee to support Young Green involvement in elections throughout England and Wales. The ideal member has: 

  • A passion for the policies and values of the Green Party of England and Wales
  • Electoral campaigning experience
  • Event Planning Skills

Campaigns Subcommittee

A subcommittee to organise Young Green involvement in campaigns. The ideal member has:

  • A passion for the policies and values of the Green Party of England and Wales
  • Experience in planning campaigns
  • Experience in delivering engaging campaigns

Press and Media Subcommittee

Calling all budding journalists! A subcommittee to work on all press and media enquiries for the Young Greens to spread our message far and wide. The ideal member: 

  • Has experience in some form of press and media including blogging, writing for a newspaper or magazine or an interest in building skills in this area.
  • Can commit to meeting fortnightly and making regular contributions to the work of the team
  • Is enthusiastic and interested in using media in innovative ways
  • Has lots of ideas about promoting the Young Greens through press and media

  • Has an interest in the International Green Movement
  • Can commit to meeting fortnightly and making regular contributions to the work of the team
  • Is enthusiastic, motivated and committed
  • Has lots of ideas about what the Young Greens can do for the Global Greens congress
