Young Greens will host a day of training and presentations for YG candidates and Councillors on the Saturday of Spring Conference. So if you’re 30 or under and are thinking of becoming a Green candidate in the next year or two, come along to meet other candidates, hear from our Regional Managers about what’s involved and why standing for the Greens is so important. Sabrina Poole- Councillor of Cirencester Town CouncilYoung Green Cllr. Sabrina Poole first stood as a non-target candidate aged 24 years old. Two years later, she became Councillor of Cirencester Town Council. Sabrina will be giving a 15 minute presentation on her election win story, with opportunity for 15 minutes of questions.

Chris Williams/Cami Ouzerdine – Green Party Regional Managers Understanding what persuades voters to vote Green isn’t always easy. This training session will cover what voters want and how to get our message across in a way that resonates with our target audience.

These one on one election surgeries with Campaign School graduates will give you tailored advice for your own campaign. Amelia Womack, Deputy Leader of the Green Party of England and Wales
In her three and a half years as Green Party Deputy Leader, Amelia Womack has a gained wealth of public speaking experience; from television appearances, radio shows, addressing Conference and beyond. Amelia will spend the first half of this session sharing her experiences and top tips, with the latter half of the session dedicated you writing your own speeches which will be filmed by our External Communications Officers from the Young Greens Executive Committee
