Excited by the Greens' general election campaign? Inspired by Carla Denyer's performances at the leaders debates? Well come and join us for the Young Greens Annual Convention in Newcastle on the 17th and 18th of August at the Maldron Hotel and online.

We’re really excited to be able to come together and discuss our priorities, learn from each other and build our momentum for the future. We’ll have Young Greens from across England and Wales making big decisions about the Young Greens future, and building their networks with each other. We’ll discuss and vote for our priorities for the coming year, and elect our new leadership.

The agenda will be announced close to the day but the core democracy sessions for the weekend will be run during the weekend, with regular breaks throughout. We’ll have sessions on the current issues impacting young people, and will hear from Young Greens on the work that they’ve been doing over the past year. We'll also be hearing from some special guests to be announced soon!

We believe that Convention should be accessible to all members. As such, it will be held in a hybrid format, with the option to join our democracy sessions online. In addition, we will be providing financial assistance through our Access Fund to ensure that the cost of attending is not a barrier to participation. We'll also be providing a free lunch to all participants on both Saturday and Sunday.

Visit our democracy platform to get involved in our democracy, to nominate yourself for election, to submit papers, and to find out more about how everything will work! Papers and amendments will also be emailed to attendees before Convention starts. If you require a printed copy please let us know using the form.

To create a safe and supportive environment, and to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy Convention, the Young Greens Safeguarding and Safe Spaces policy will be enforced throughout the entire event, and by attending you are agreeing to abide by this policy and its procedures. Please read the policy here prior to attending.

If you have any questions about attending Convention please get in touch with us on [email protected], or check out our first timer's guide here on our website!
