Convention

Join us in London for Young Greens Convention

Young Greens Convention is heading to London! Our annual summer conference will be in London on the 18/19th of July. We will have guest speakers, panels, trainings and most importantly loads of democracy!

Convention is our version of Green Party Conference. We vote on motions and amendments, network with other members and elect Young Greens to our committees including the Executive Committee.

To put forward a motion or stand for a position visit our Online Democracy Platform here.

Meet other Young Greens

Young Greens come from all around the country to attend this event, each bringing different experiences of the Green Party in their area. Meet new people who you can learn from, work with, and be inspired by.

Have your say

Convention is where we discuss, debate, and vote on the direction the Young Greens should be heading through motions and also our internal elections. These elections will decide who will lead the Young Greens for the next term.

If you’re interested in running, we have drop-in sessions on the 4th, 6th and 8th of June. Click the relevant date and you should be directed to the event page. Or email [email protected] for more details.

Info and access

We believe that Convention should be accessible to all members. As such, it will be held in a hybrid format, with the option to join our democracy sessions online. We have also made the decision to charge for attendance, this was due to various factors including attendance rates and costs of venues. We will however be providing financial assistance through our Access Fund to ensure that the cost of attending is not a barrier to participation.

We have also linked a Convention Welcome Guide that details the timetable, how to get to the venue and explains how our internal democracy works.
