The Young Greens are inviting you to a Diwali celebration on 3rd November 2026 from 5pm onwards in Leicester. The event is open to non students and will be in seminar room 2.04 in the Bob Burgess building.
Leicester has always been a hub of diversity and South Asian heritage, with deep cultural ties to many old traditions. In a time of crisis and unrest, joy becomes radical, so we hope you will come along and celebrate the festival of lights with us.
There will be plenty of vegan food, activities and opportunities for discussion and celebration about the roots of the holiday, as well as a chance to interact with many other fellow Young Greens on campus.
We encourage you to dress for comfort, perhaps show up in your traditional ethnic attire, and bring friends along for an evening of fun and celebration. All are welcome.
